Welcome to the campsite le Malazeou

At an altitude of 700 Meters and at the entry of the spa town of Ax les Thermes in Ariège, the Sunêlia campsite of ‘Le Malazeou’ welcomes visitors throughout the year (excepting November), to 6 shaded hectares set in the beautiful valley of the river Ariège.  Offering a privileged view of the Pyrenees, it offers you an opportunity to enjoy mountain life during every season of the year.   Appealing to all the senses, whether you wish to relax in the calm and simply admire the views or you prefer an active sport,  maybe to explore the mountains on foot, you will experience something of the genuine atmosphere of a region which remains unspoilt and natural.

       Numerous activities are at your disposition:   A heated outdoor swimming pool with a paddling pool, a bar/restaurant/pizzeria, a grocery shop with fresh bread daily and newspapers, an exercise room ( with a sauna planned for 2008) a laundry room, a play area,  a stopping place for camping-cars  and organized social events.

       You can choose to come and stay on a camping pitch or to rent a chalet or mobile home - both finished in natural wood to blend in with the landscape.

       There are two chalets and a toilet block which are specifically arranged for people of reduced mobility with level access.

       In the winter there are four ski stations. Do you fancy ‘Ski de Piste’ or ‘Ski Nordique’, hiking in snow shoes or even driving a dog sledge?

       You could also enjoy a short walk to Ax les Thermes with its Casino, skating rink, tennis courts, cinema, mini golf etc.  A recreational spa centre, with a roman baths theme, will be ready for opening at the end of 2008.
